# Diver ID

> Diver ID (diver-id.net) is a web platform for scuba divers and dive centers: digital, paperless check-in at dive centers worldwide, with certifications from every training agency stored in one diver profile. It runs in the browser, no app download, in 18 languages. Free for divers. Not related to the decal company "Diver-ID.com".

## What it does

For divers:
- One diver profile with certifications from all agencies (PADI, SSI, CMAS, NAUI, SDI/TDI, RAID and others), medical certificate, insurance and emergency contact.
- Check-in at a dive center in under 5 minutes the first time; at the next center the saved record is reused and only refreshed.
- Reminder 30 days before the medical certificate expires.
- If a dive center does not use Diver ID, the diver can still send the complete, freshly signed record to that center by email. The center needs no account.
- Digital logbook across all agencies, buddies, forum, marketplace and job board.
- The diver decides who sees what and can export all data.

For dive centers:
- Guests scan a QR code with their own phone or use the center's tablet. Guided check-in, one question per screen.
- The center decides the questions. Certification, fitness to dive, insurance and emergency contact are captured; liability and risk documents are signed on screen, with an audit log (hash, server time, device).
- Agency course forms can be added as photo or PDF, if the center holds the usage rights.
- Every guest record shows a traffic light for certification, medical and insurance. Staff verify documents with one tap.
- Staff accounts with individual permissions, boat lists and day trips, rental gear tracking, guest tally, emergency plan.
- Minors check in with an additional signature from a parent or guardian.
- Records exportable as PDF archives at any time. No lock-in.

## Pricing

- Free for divers.
- Dive centers: first 20 guest check-ins free, no payment details, no contract. After that prepaid packages from $0.42 per guest check-in, depending on package size. No subscription, no base fee.

## Data protection

- Data stored encrypted on EU servers, GDPR compliant.
